Title: Shadow Relief Tip Post by Jimmy_B. on Feb 7th, 2007, 3:52pm Just happened across a relief that works for light clusters...shadows and the like, but also seems to diminish eye burners. (If you have the composure to try). Take a warm foot bath! What you do is pour very warm water (95 degrees or so) into a basin and put your feet into it. Very slowly put in hot water until the temp increases to about as hot as you can stand. (115 degrees or so) and let soak for 15 minutes. After the 15 minutes take your feet out, dry them and put on thick wool socks. I'm at the point or end of my cycle where I'm getting a lot of shadows (Kip 4 or below) and this seems to help with every one. Asked my Doc about it and he said the hot footbath will draw blood to your feet and away from your head...possibly shrinking the enlarged blood vessels that bother the nerves and cause the CH Pain. Whatta I know...as long as it works. Peace, Jimmy |

Title: Re: Shadow Relief Tip Post by Ice-Man on Feb 8th, 2007, 10:59pm Ihave a tip that when a cluster is coming on i block my nostril with my finger on cluster side so that i cant breve in any air through that nostril.Occasionally removing it to blow out air from that side. Ihold it there for the duration of ch. I have found that eight out of ten times the ch wont get past kip1-kip3. I have found that this works when drinking alcohol and when not drinking, that only hard part is to take a sip with finger over nose. |

Title: Re: Shadow Relief Tip Post by duckie on Feb 10th, 2007, 2:39am I hope you don't do that in a bar, you might look kinda funny!!! Foot bath sounds good followed by a foot rub at least it might be a little more pleasant than my method of shoving your head in a bucket filled with ice water. Lii |

Title: Re: Shadow Relief Tip Post by Pfunk on Feb 12th, 2007, 4:45pm Sounds very reasonable to me as some have suggested taking a shower as hot as you can possibly stand it. That one worked for me a couple of times over the weekend. The foot thing sounds a bit better though and more practical for me at 2,3, and 4 in the morning when you have to get up at five. Thanks! Much luv anf PFDANS to all. Pfunk |
