Title: I'm in the Pits of Hell...... Post by BarbaraD on Feb 5th, 2007, 7:56am The last few days, I've been getting hit back to back and now they're hitting at night (even with the Melatonin). And the bad part is I'm getting migraines along with them. I've enjoyed about as much as this crap as I can stand for one month! Then my "smart" son put some software on my "business" computer and it didn't get along with my system, so I've got a wipe out on my computer and we're having to reinstall everything and I'm in the middle of tax season. I've got hard copies of all my correspondence, but it's a pain in the ass putting it back in. this was something I really needed with CH hitting at high tide. Anyhow I just wanted to whine a little. You need to get the kid his own PC to blow up and keep him off yours, that’s what I do my daughter is restricted from touching my PC and hay it never crashes, hers is a another story I am always fixing it but better hers then mine. My computer guru didn't show up today to get my computer straigtened out and I've got work piled up and can't do it. Have to tell you I have been in IT for over 20 years now and can still count on less than two hands how many people I have worked with in IT that I would hire. Not sure what it is about IT but it attracts a lot of control freaks and antisocial types, and no I do not fall under either of those, I would fall under the rare section of good IT people that care about what they do and are nice to the people he works for. Title: Re: I'm in the Pits of Hell...... Post by Mattrf on Feb 6th, 2007, 11:03am Hay Barb if the guy does not show again there is something easy you can try if you are running XP. If you go to Start\Programs\Accessories\System Tools then select System Restore, this will allow you to roll back your registry to a time before you had the problem and just may resolve your problems. This does not remove any data on your system so your files are safe but if you have installed a new program after the date you select you will need to re-install that application. Hope this helps.
