Title: Still blows my mind Post by bruce802 on Jan 31st, 2007, 9:42am I have been suffering from CH’s since I was about 18 years old. I am now 38 years old and I still I sit here and shake my head at how ridiculously weird of a sickness this is. To think that these headaches are so excruciating at times and not knowing why we get them and how they can hit you like clockwork is just F****** weird to me. Bruce |

Title: Re: Still blows my mind Post by 5yearsteve on Jan 31st, 2007, 3:24pm Yeah, I think of this a lot also. Maybe our brains are performing a scan disk, defragging, and then replacing missing clusters. HAHA |

Title: Re: Still blows my mind Post by starlight on Jan 31st, 2007, 5:17pm Bruce, I have been getting them for almost 20 years too since I was 14 yrs. old. The nature of them, their clockwork nature, the "unexplained" nature of them and also how badly they suck has also caused me to try to find some meaning or explanation--perhaps even a kind of spiritual pondering. I would be curious if anyone had any thoughts. I mean--they are definitely weird--especially how they come at night (for me anyway). |

Title: Re: Still blows my mind Post by Turts on Jan 31st, 2007, 6:26pm I think the wierdness of how they come, work, and go makes it all the more difficult for "outsiders' to understand or appreciate how severe they are aswell. Turts as for the title???? I think " still explodes my mind" "still excruciatingly, agonisingly, tormently destroys my mind and livelyhood" could have worked aswell. ;;D Turts |

Title: Re: Still blows my mind Post by taraann on Jan 31st, 2007, 9:40pm Yup still blows my mind how I haven't blown my brains out yet............ oooh sorry kinda dark but I come from a family with a dark sense of humor, so naturally when I read the title I though that immediatly! Quote:
I was pre-first child and I am still going ... not 10 yrs yet but it feels like a million. If this "affliction" isn't titled yet completely and properly the one thing it sure is, is depressing! |

Title: Re: Still blows my mind Post by Skyhawk5 on Jan 31st, 2007, 11:39pm I do believe there is a light out there but it would sure be nice if I didn't need the Hubble Telescope to see it. |

Title: Re: Still blows my mind Post by Filbert on Feb 1st, 2007, 4:46am A year or so ago AussieBrian described the pain of CH as being like pure white pain. Pain in its purest form. It's a description that struck a chord with me. Sorry Brian if I didn't remember your description spot on. Fil. |

Hopefully one day soon. |

Title: Re: Still blows my mind Post by ccbiggsoo7 on Feb 17th, 2007, 1:11pm I think it shows just how strong the fight can be in an individual, when one has no other choice. Never in my life have i experienced, or would want my worst enemy to experience the pain of these god awful things. When first diagnosed i remember walking into the pawn shop and staring at the handguns, contemplating that "it" was the only way out.Six a day, was taking its toll on me. I didn't want to live anymore and i wasn't going to suffer like this, life just wasn't worth it. Then luckily i found a good neuro and imitrex got me threw the physical , and the good ol people and stories of this site pulled me threw the mental aspect. Knowing that i wasn't alone and had other people that was going threw this and had tuffed it out made me fighter! I still get my ass knocked off but your bet your ass im not laying down!! |
