Title: Interesting question
Post by Phil L on Jan 23rd, 2007, 5:01pm
I seldom post, but read almost daily and gain great comfort in knowing your all here. Thank you.

Last week I visited with my nurologist and the question of there being a nexus between increased serotonin levels and CH came up. Specifically, would long term use of antidepressents in some way contribute to the start of CH?

Any thoughts?
Phil

Mine started at 20 y/o with never having touched an anti-depressant.  I think it's your genetically messed up hypothalamus.

Don't know if it could contribute to the development of CH.

I've never taken any antidepressants, though.

Best,

I don't think so. If it did, a lot more people would have ch.

The subject came up because I was 60 when hit with my first CH cycle, which as you know is generally not the rule, and we were floating conjecture around. I tend to agree with Bob that it's DNA gone mad and to hell with the rest of it. It's been quite a ride. I don't tolerate medication well, so Triptans are used very sparingly. As with many here, 02 is the life line and works well for me, it's when I get hit at the office, with a client or (as happend last month) in a Board meeting, that makes life really interesting.

Be well my friends,
Phil

Hi Barry, some days I'd like to live to 125. Today I'd
settle for Friday. Take care, Phil.
