I'm just curious as to the dosage others are using. Up here in Canada I can get either 5mg. or 20mg single dose spray. When my O2 fails after 15 mins.(15 lpm with clustermask) I have to go to my last line of defense. Just wondering what dosage others are finding gives relief. I know we're all different.
I've been back in cycle for 6 wks.(2-7 hits/day) after PF for 1 1/2 years.
Thank god for this site. So many of us in "the CH family" owe our lives to you wonderfull people.(too bad our little Canadian site didn't work out-Margi you Rock!)

Sorry, I have only used the 20mg and I find it makes me feel really ill afterwards (it feels like "too much" to me) but it does work at ridding the pian in 10/15 mins.

I would like to try a lower dose so need to investigate if you can get it here.

I know the Zomig nasal comes in smaller doses and you can go above the 2 in 24 hours rule with those as well.

P.S. Amended to add that I was really sorry about OUCH Canada as well, it was a great site and Margi is THE BEST !

I've never seen the 5mg dose but have read it exists.

With the time it takes for the n/s trex that is 20mg to work, I've not been willing to experiment with any less, especially 5mg.

It does the job when needed, in time.

I use the 20 mg dose. I have had it work in as little as 6 - 7 mins and as long as 20 mins. The only side effect I have had from it is the bad taste in the back of your throat. But as well as it works for me I would gargle with it if I had too. :)

I use the 20mg spray and I've had relief is as little 6-8 minutes to as long as 15 minutes. I know if I go beyond that 15 min. mark that the damn beast has won. Then, the only relief I can get is from pain meds.

I use the 20 mg spray and, like others, I have to catch the bastard very early into the headache - usually about 5-9 minutes - or I'm screwed.
