last night i felt a hit coming as i was just about to enjoy some ice cream........ i had the ice cream and the hit stoped ????

LOL - iv been doin all kinds of different stuff when iv felt an attack coming on that has lasted 5 minutes and then suddenly vanished . . .

its just the nature fo the beast.

i think everyone is being a bit harsh on this guy, nothing wrong with sharing your experiences and hoping something may come of it !!! lol

anyway, that said, i was cutting my toenails last night and my hit suddenly stopped . . . . . i think i may be onto something ;;D

Dave,
back in my chronic days I once stopped a hit with ice cream. Too bad I can't recall the flavor... but I think it was vanilla. Anyways, it worked only once... :( (I know, I tried...)

I think that ice cream helped because in general cold helps me with ch. I'm still hoping that one day red bull will produce ice cream... ;)

I'm still glad that that hit stopped. :)

Dave, we're laughing WITH you NOT at you....

I once stuffed Jalepenos up my nose to stop a hit. It didn't stop the hit, but when the hit was over, I definitely had something ELSE to think about..... I still have nightmares over that one... :D

It's amazing what we'll do to try to stop the pain, but as long as we can laugh about it afterwards there's still hope for us all.

;;D ;;D I believe its called "Thought diversion" and anything that can divert your minds focal point away from the pain of an oncoming attack might stop a single hit! Might only work 1 time but what the heck, thats once at least!
I also think this is a practiced theraputic approach at pain control for some people! I have done the same with Chinese Mustard, Tobasco sauce and other more tramatic devises. even tried hitting my hand with a hammer once! That didn't work so I had both the head and hand in the cold water for a while! Pappy

PS: OKay, how many of you jokers are hitting the Nitrous Oxide too! hehehehe!
