Title: Re: How many Post by BarbaraD on Nov 16th, 2006, 7:01pm Your symptoms don't sound "unusual" to me. Doesn't everyone feel that way (I'm chronic - going on 9 years now)? ;) Yes, you're tired, feel rotten, exhausted, etc., etc., etc. but in a few more weeks you'll be out of cycle and will feel better. Just look for the end of the tunnel. Try Melatonin (9-12mg) at night to get some "much needed" rest. It takes a week or so to start working right, but it's worth the effort to stay on it. Resting at night will help you get thru the days. You can get it at any drug store (look in the vitamin isle). Hope you're feeling better soon. And I'm just laughing with you -- we all feel this way. Just one of the perks of being a Clusterhead. Hugs BD |

Title: Re: How many Post by yikes-another-one on Nov 16th, 2006, 10:14pm :) 3 most bothersome feelings: 1) Ladck of energy 2) lack of memory 3) Lack of organizational skills. I went 10 plus months in a abnormal cycle... at least 4 headache every day.... and had to go onto a steroid for three days... (I got a wisdom tooth extracted...not hoping to reduce theheadache...wink...) what ever they put me on was amazing.... for three days I had plans and memoeries and energy and felt like my old old self.... then the steroid tapered off....and whamm hit the wall again....back to feeling tired out after standing for ten minutes.... back to carrying pen and paper everywhere I went... Now I had had the CH for about 9 years up to 2005 when I got the widom toot h pulled.... and it prooved to me that this thing doesn't really cause "brain damage" but the brain damage is a "side-effect" of the disorder.... SO now, how to get our "selves" back without taking a steroid....hmmmmmmmmm that would be the next research grant I would pay for. hugs, Tamara |

Title: Re: How many Post by aura on Nov 18th, 2006, 3:18am I feel the same way. I get dizzy, I loose coordination, and so on. I think part for me is that all I can do is eat sleep when I don't have pain. I do not drive out of the city cause what would i do with my little girl on the highway when I have a headache, so I stay home which depreases you more and the cycle continues. The thing i do is say out loud through the cycle, this will end, it will go away, because sometimes in the middle you forget that they end. Anyways the point is I feel the same. Just remeber that they will end, and after you feel great. ;;D |

Title: Re: How many Post by sailpappy on Nov 18th, 2006, 9:45am ;;D ::) Cycle's----I don't have no stinking cycles! I know what you mean though! Being Chronic (7 days a week, 365 a year, I only wish I had cycles!)with Chronic Hep C I live in a state of exhaustion! I have been taking 24 mg of Melatonin(Yep 8/3mg tab's) at night to help with the sleep, still have the 3 or 4 night time hits, but I can actually rest when I am asleep! I am wondering now if the Melatonin is part of the exhaustion problem though? anyone, anyone?? Pappy |
