In my 20's, the CH's came every year. In my 30's, they started to skip a year in between. I'm now 42, and the gap was 4 years!!! I thought they were over. Then, 3 nights ago, they came calling. Have had about 8 hours sleep since then. Damn! I hate these things. Anyway, just checking in to a wonderful group that I was hoping I'd never talk to again.

Imitrex is my savior, but my dr. wants $300 because it's been so long since he's seen me! I'm getting longer between cycles, and I get punished for it!! Hopefully, I can afford the $300 next week.

Well, hello all. You'll be seeing me around for a while now, I'm afraid.

I've never heard of a doctor charging you more because you haven't seen him. I would think you were doing things right if you didn't need to see your doc!
Sorry to hear the demon has come calling again. Do you take any preventatives?

That's a pretty good scam your doctor has going. Maybe I should send him a bill for $1000, because I've never seen him at all.

Sounds like your pattern is similar to my own--I'm 52, and have been episodic since 1966. For the first twenty years, I cycled twice a year. For ten, I cycled once a year. My last three have been 3 years apart. Not over, but a hopeful sign (I hope).
