Title: Alternative Treatments for Children? Post by paulc on Sep 4th, 2006, 12:50am Would any of you who use alternative treatments, i.e., LSD, LSA, colonic cleansing, etc., use them on children with severe CH, for whom the traditional treatments are not working? If not, why not and if so would you let their physician know? What if the physician objects? At what age would you begin (even if the physician objects)? I'm just wondering. |

Title: Re: Alternative Treatments for Children? Post by Charlotte on Sep 4th, 2006, 12:23pm Is this about a specific child? If it were ok with the child's doc, I would feel ok with using liquid kudzu extract. It is easy on the tummy. Doesn't taste that bad. It is similar to verapamil but for me it is gentler. According to the pharmacist - some of the ingredients are made by our body (I don't know if this is true because I don't know which of the ingredients I told her about that she was talking about). The neuro & pharmacist seem to consider it a diet supplement, rather than med. I do not have a child with ch and my children are grown, but if one of my grandchildren or future descendants had ch, I would recommend to the parents & dr to try it. We don't know what the future brings. Charlotte |
