Title: A cycle has ended Post by frizzle on Aug 31st, 2006, 1:14pm Thanks to eveyone for their support and help through my latest cycle. Seems to have ended. I'm pain AND med free for 2 weeks now. Have been cutting back the caffeine too. All I'm left with is a small shadow every now and then that I get rid of by drink a tall glass of ice cold water and go about my daily business. It's good. Real good but you all know that already. Too bad I missed most of my summer but it's so sweet to be able to enjoy these 2 little boys now without constantly worrying about when the next CH will hit. I'll be here now and again to check in. Gotta remember those refills on meds so when this bugger hits again I'll be ready. PF days to all! Friz |

Title: Re: A cycle has ended Post by frizzle on Sep 2nd, 2006, 9:40am what worked for me? - time - seems like my cycles go every 3 years about 10-12 weeks each. It was a waiting game. August 13th was a magic number. The last cycle ended by Aug 13 - just in time for me to head to San Antonio for basic training lucky me. Worked out the same this cycle too. - prednisone - I had to do it. It was a very low dose 10mg daily but it kept me sane and I was able to be a Mommy to my 2 little guys. I was on it for about a month. Still had breakthrough CH which I killed with O2 or nasal imitrex (but I didn't use that til it was a last resort kind of thing) |
