Interesting article.  Casts migraines as

Quote:
among the worst nonfatal afflictions of humankind

and

Quote:
A migraine is more than a headache. The throbbing pain of a migraine, which typically occurs on one side of the head, is often accompanied by nausea, vomiting and extreme sensitivity to light and sound. A person feels sick all over.

I'm not saying that migrains aren't bad.  They are wicked.  Just sayin that Clusters generally get overshadowed.  Even so...I think any attention drawn to head pain, and its treatment, has to be good for us.

A little sketchy on the treatment section of the article though.  Also, the article talks about casting migraines in a new light - but I don't see much new there.

For what its worth,
Casey

I agree, Casey - traditionally cluster has never gotten a lot of press.  However I found this last week - it's probably the most current and up to date info to the "layperson" out there at the moment, AND it's in a venue that's commonly referred to on the internet - Wikipedia!  Even discusses alternative therapies!  And, it also has a picture drawn by our very own JD Fletcher!

we're gettin there.....

very interesting.  This is the first I've heard of an ictal headache.  It's a headache associated with seizure activity.  Maybe that's why so many seizure meds work for some headaches.
