Title: Re: ch video Post by the_old_man on Aug 6th, 2006, 9:03am I went to the site and found it to be very well done. I read the information and watched the videos, and cried all the way thru it. It is a beautiful, sensitive, accurate portrayal of what CH is all about. It made me proud to be a CHer, and proud to be a part of this board. It gave me strength to continue the fight during this intense cycle I'm in, and the knowledge that I am one of the special ones who can withstand the most intense pain known to man and still come out a winner. I look forward to the finished product, and have copied the url to pass on to those...even in my own family...who still say, "it's only a headache!". I applaud the courage and selflessness of all who were involved in this, and thank you from the bottom of my heart. NEVER GIVE UP! The Old Man |

Title: Re: ch video Post by big_guy on Aug 6th, 2006, 9:55am I couldn't agree more Old Man. I will be showing this video to a few people also. Very moving. I also cried all the way through it. Perhaps I can get my boss to watch it. (Don't really think so) Big Guy |

Title: Re: ch video Post by serendipity on Aug 6th, 2006, 11:12am Wow. Those videos are amazing. I didn't expect to have such an emotional response, but having never met another CH sufferer in real life, I feel like I just did. By the way, does anyone here know Chuck from the video? |

Title: Re: ch video Post by Weatherman on Aug 7th, 2006, 1:45am Nice job Justin!! Very moving....very well done. I find it amazing how much Chucks hit affects me even though I've watched it several times. It's like looking in a mirror...except I never have anyone with me and I have shorter hair :) Chuck, if you read this, God Bless you man!! And God Bless all of you who are chronic. You know how it's impossible for someone that's never had CH to understand what it's like? That's how I feel being an episodic trying to understand what it must be like to be a chronic. Every day? Every week? Every month? Every year? MAN!!! I just finished a cycle and am now enjoying not only being pain free but med free too. But I have to say, I feel a little guilty. Just doesn't seem fair. God Bless you all!!! Anyway, thanks again Justin. Great work! Doug |

The video was shot at the 2004 OUCH Convention in Nashville. Just in case any are wondering....that video is real. Justin is a clusterhead, and brought his film crew to Nashville, in hopes that he would obtain permission to film an attack. Chuck volunteered. Taping this video was not easy for Justin.... He has since met with us in Davenport, Iowa at our annual meet & greet. He has filmed individual CH'ers stories about their experiences with CH. Jean |

Title: Re: ch video Post by chopmyheadoff on Aug 7th, 2006, 2:05am managed to get it working Boy its strange "meeting" someone like me after all this time thinking i was the only one. I hope a full documentry is made like this , would be good for others to be informed about ch. there are probly people out there suffering right now who dont know what they have and a show like this being on telly could help them get the help they need. good work |

Title: Re: ch video Post by The mad viking on Aug 7th, 2006, 2:17am I am one of the really few that has a copy of this tape of Chuck. Its a really hard tape to see for all of us Im using the tape for all its worth in educating the healthsystem and people in Norway about Clusterheadaches The tape has really open doors to the medical community over here that i did not know exist before Chuck did let us film him during a hit The tape tells more then a million words The very best from Svenn |

Title: Re: ch video Post by TxBasslady on Aug 7th, 2006, 2:23am I would like to say, there's nothing in this World even close to the feeling you get from meeting another who suffers from CH. If you haven't had the chance to do so, please try and find the time. You will never regret it. It will amaze you at how strong of a bond you will experience. It's like you have known each other forever. I have met so many who suffer. This experience is what gives me the strength to cope with CH. I have learned so much....found lifelong friendships....and more love than I deserve. Much love, Jean |

Title: Re: ch video Post by Sandy_C on Aug 7th, 2006, 12:35pm I've seen the video of Chuck twice, once many months ago through a post on this site, and again at the Milcon 2006 convention. I had tears in my eyes watching it on my computer screen. Then, at Milcon, I met Chuck. When they showed the video on a large screen, I felt so much helplessness and sadness watching my new friend going through such pain. It was heartbreaking this time, because I new the man, the brand new grandfather, who was such a joy to meet, so much fun, so interesting to talk with. Seeing him in pain this time made such a huge difference in me, personally. I'm sorry, I can't explain it well enough. Sandy |

Title: Re: ch video Post by The mad viking on Aug 7th, 2006, 2:59pm Sandy_C my dear friend. I think you said it really well indeed But it also seems that most of US seems to forget the value of a tape like that when we try get the awarness of clusterheadaches known out there I feel that i know Chuck as a really good and personal friend and brother, and of course i do react pretty much the same way as you but i also see the tape as a tool to get the word out. Sorry but i have to repeat myself here but that tape are worth its weight in gold for us Take care my friend Svenn |

I will give the link to his family to watch as they are interstate and they are struggling to understand what he is going through. Thank you again. Annette |
