Title: Survey: Libido and Clusters? Post by Bingerboo on Jul 25th, 2006, 11:47pm I came across this article talking about migraine sufferers having higher libido levels. http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/536468 Migraine Associated With High-Normal Sex Drive It interested me seeing as how clusters are usually associated with screwy serotonin levels-----What do you guys think? |

Title: Re: Survey: Libido and Clusters? Post by nani on Jul 26th, 2006, 12:09am This has been discussed before. I believe that the general consensus was that many of us tend to have higher than normal sex drives. |

Not when in the middle of a bad CH attack! I also doubt that people with migraines have much of a desire for sex when they are getting hit-maybe later, like us, but not during an attack. :'( |

Title: Re: Survey: Libido and Clusters? Post by georgej on Jul 26th, 2006, 3:46am Maybe it's old news, but it's interesting--and new to me. I've always had a libido like a bunny rabbit. [smiley=smug.gif] Mayhaps, like others, I now have an excuse. Tennis, anyone? [smiley=inlove.gif] What REALLY happens at those conventions, anyway? Eh? Best, George ::) |

I've heard of Tennis elbow George, never really worked out what it was until just now though! As for conventions, you'll just have to come along next year and see won't you?! |

Title: Re: Survey: Libido and Clusters? Post by frizzle on Jul 26th, 2006, 6:48am Wait wait. Being that this "condition" is a "man's-thing" are we at all surprised that the higher than normal sex drive issue is discussed? Don't ALL men have higher than normal sex drives?!? LOL |

Title: Re: Survey: Libido and Clusters? Post by thomas on Jul 26th, 2006, 9:38am It was discussed at convention. It seems that people with migraine have more sex than "normal" people. Both male and female, and people with CH have even higher sex-drives than those with migraine. It has nothing to do with aborting or wanting sex while getting hit. It is nothing more than an interesting statistic. |

Title: Re: Survey: Libido and Clusters? Post by Bingerboo on Jul 26th, 2006, 5:44pm It's interesting that this all came about because of the sexual problems people were having while on anti-depressants. (too much serotonin). So would this mean that the shrooms (which supposedly increase serotonin and keep it that way for a while) would actually decrease peoples libido? There's a study you probably wouldn't have trouble getting participants for----Sex and drugs!!! |

Title: Re: Survey: Libido and Clusters? Post by Charlotte on Aug 2nd, 2006, 1:51pm I'll rephrase that one. I stay away from Inderal, although it worked ok in some ways. It knocked 8 back to 6 for me. Charlotte |

Exactly. I'll take a pair of 6's over an 8 anytime. Then you can knock it down some from there. |
