Title: im back
Post by catherinelane on Jul 6th, 2006, 3:15pm
hi im back about after a year but not because im back with the beast (yet) but i have a question to ask and see if any one agrees with my thories for which i have done some research
now, i suffered from severe night terrors which i grew out of,  which have now been replaced by ch(episodic)
the hypothalimus controls dreams which begin as soon as the brain begins rem (rapid eye movement) clusters also begin as soon as the brain hits rem has any one else here suffered night terrors ??  if so this may be a link and my theory is that maybe i swapped the night terrors for ch and making the theory that ch is connected with the hypothalimus...... what do you think ???

Just my opinion - I don't think so.  What little I know of night terrors, they're a separate problem.

Many things can coexist in one small human, possibly originating in the same spot, but have nothing to do with triggering each other.

Like I said, just my opinion based on experience and observation.

Welcome back, by the way.  I just came on board in February this year.

No night terrors here.  Like Charlotte, I think we're talking about 2 different beasts.

Best,

Kris

interesting !!! im just exploring possibilities conected with the hypothalimus because also the hypothalimus controls tempriture internaly and changes in tempriture also trigger clusters, im probably going to bring on an attack at this rate ::) but its all sooooooo interesting

You are correct in your theory that there is a connection between clusters and the hypothalamus gland. You, like the rest of us, have a broken one. No, you did not break it. You were born that way.
The hypothalamus controls many functions. Body temperature, circadian clock, addictions, habits are a few of those functions. But dreaming, terror or not? IMHO, nope.
But, I could be wrong.
