Title: No reason to been having them NOW!? Post by phil098342wq on Jun 28th, 2006, 4:06pm I can usually point to a trigger source for these #$%&! CHs but not the last two days. I don't get them at night-thank God, I already suffer from insomnia. I usually get them mid to late day, migrains in the early morning. I did get a cycle about a month ago, I am a man so don't think that, and the nausea is MUCH worse! I am in the middle of a hectic school schdeule and have been for two weeks. Today, and yesterday were very diffrent schedules, hardly anything was the same. I know they can come on out of the blue, but any comments. I hate not being able to explain this. Should I inform the doctor that the nausea is so much worse or maybe let it run its course? They do have me on promethazine 25mg, and that with 100 mg imitrex knocks me out so I don't want to up the mgs. Please help, this place has helped me so much in the past...I do read posts as often as I can. [smiley=huh.gif] [smiley=huh.gif] [smiley=huh.gif] [smiley=huh.gif] :'( |

Title: Re: No reason to been having them NOW!? Post by pattik on Jun 28th, 2006, 5:10pm Imitrex has been suspected of causing rebound headaches. So that could be where the trigger is coming from. Have you tried oxygen? Read the link on the left. <------------------- |

Title: Re: No reason to been having them NOW!? Post by Guiseppi on Jun 28th, 2006, 5:33pm I hate to say it but don't bother trying to figure these things out. As fast as you do they morph on you. I used to never get the wake up headaches after I fell asleep, now I do. I used to get really nauseous, now I rarely get nausea with them. For about 10 years they were clockwork, 3 months on cycle, 3 months off. Always started right around the two time changes. Now they're all over the calendar, this last cycle finally ended after 8 months, a record for me. I have seen several people mention the imitrex rebound effect so that might be something worth looking into. The good news is, you get to hang out with all of us cool people! Good luck to you, hurting sucks. Guiseppi |

Title: Re: No reason to been having them NOW!? Post by phil098342wq on Jun 28th, 2006, 5:34pm Doc wont do oxygen and it is impractical for me to carry it around campus and all. Although I may make an appointment to see my DR every time this happens and try to get the campus to cater slightly to my needs. This after a coworker suggested it. |

The Doc works for you...not the other way around. One article after another on the web and they all say oxygen is a great way to go for many people. It's a no brainer! Please, get a new Doc. Good Luck!! |
