I've never had a pf period of 4 days during a cycle.. no shadows, nothing... is this normal? am I gonna wake to the beast one of these nights?
Has anyone else experienced this?

note - I've been posting my mushroom results in the treatment section.. been progressively less severe since the shrooms.. now are they gone?? I'm tempted to crack open a 6-pack and find out: D

I do hope this is the end of the cycle for you but it does sometimes happen that a person have a few days pf before you get hit again. Wait it out a bit before cracking a beer would be my suggestion.

Cracking a beer open will tell you for sure. But is it worth knowing at this point? I may be chicken, but I didn't open a beer until 30 days after my last hit when my last cycle ended......

I'd probably hold off on the beer, too, Spidey.
It's possible that the one dose busted your cycle. It's also possible that it will take more than one dose to finish it off. Pay attention to the signs, and prepare to dose again if needed. continued pf wishes, nani

Heheh.. it's not so much the beer I want.. I just want to know if it's over and done with.. for now anyways: ) I'm excited to know if the shrooms really worked for me.
..just got another solid 8 hours sleep and no hit.. ahhhhhh I will never take sleep for granted again: )

Just went five nights PF, then got wimpily bonked with a Kip 5 last night. Took it out to the living room, examined the little fella for an hour or so, then went back to bed without taking him for a walk. 'Course I'm nearing the end of the cycle now. I'd wait a few days, personally, but if you're episodic like me, it sounds as if it's winding down. Hang in there.

My first two episodes of clusters were well defined and each lasted a couple of months before suddenly ending. I began my third episode back in Feb. of this year (06) and the beast has been toying with me every day since.
I have learned the difference between a migraine and a cluster, as during this episode, I also began having migraines - (piece of cake) I've had up to a week of pf, yet there is still some shadows at work during the pf time. Then, suddenly, the clusters return at a kip 10+++.
I had gone a while without anything more than a 4 or 5, and found that the o2 didn't work for the clusters with the lower scale pain - so I cancelled my o2 delivery and within a day - right back to the 10's. So, back to the doc to get a new script for the o2 and a script for more maxalt, which I treasure and hang on to for only the worst of the worst since my insurance only allows 10 in a 30 day period -
I wonder if I'm going chronic - and what that's like.. it's been nearly a half year already!!
I would wait it out for a month or more before believing the episode to be over - it's fooled me twice this time.
I did notice one thing - I took a muscle spasm med for my back and had a couple of real killers during the same two days before throwing the meds out - if there is a connection - I'd rather have the back pains than a cluster any day.
Being an optimist, as I think most sufferers are - I believe I will beat the beast and life will return to normal once again. Just hang in there...
