Title: This is really wierd.... Post by GuitarBill on Jun 14th, 2006, 3:05am About (I'd say a month ago) I was riddled with the beast in my brain after a 3 year remission...all of a sudden out of nowhere...like many of us it would wake me up an hour after sleep....and the pain was unbearable (needless to say of course). I'd rock furiously in a chair with a fan on me full blast....and it would last 2 and a half hours before it would let me pass out from exhaustion. This happened for about 3 or 4 nights. I increased my Verapamil by about 1 or 200 mgs and it lasted a week, and then suddenly....they're gone. I lowered my dose dramatically, and I haven't even had a faint shadow or anything. BELIEVE ME: I am NOT complaining by any means! But the cycles never have happened this way before...usually when I lower my dose the pain comes in again. Anyone heard of this? ...Another question...After every cycle I've had, after the remission period (for however long) when the next one begins...the pain is more intense and merciless than the previous. Anyone have that too? |

Title: Re: This is really wierd.... Post by Katherinecm on Jun 14th, 2006, 1:51pm I am now chronic, but when I was episodic I remember being shocked by how painful it was everytime it came back. I can't say it got worse though. I mean, a Kip 10 is a Kip 10. On the other hand I didn't get diagnosed until I had a Kip 10 & went to the ER. But I had other symptoms, like minor pain & red eye many times before then, in cycles for months. So maybe it did get worse & I just don't pay much attention until it was severe. Whichever it is, I hope you've found a permanent solution that works for you! Katy |
