Title: Clusters Triggered by Brain Surgery
Post by Capt_Deb on Jun 4th, 2006, 4:25pm
I folks!
I had an Acoustic Neuroma (benign tumor growing on 8th vestibular nerve)) removed surgically 3 years ago resulting in total hearing loss and balance function loss on one side. Since then, I've been having headaches that fit the descriptions I've found.Sometimes I'll get them for weeks at a time and then they seem to let up for a while. I call the "brainwrecks." The neurologist I've been seeing for three years has exhausted his arsenal of meds and I'm currently on an Indomethacine trial to rtry to distiguish my headaches from a condition called hemicrania continua.
I was wondering if there are any other folks out there whose clusters kicked in after a craniotomy.
Thanks,
Capt Deb

My answer is no and I think that is how the majority of the people will answer.

No for me, but there is some correlation between head/brain trauma and CH.
