Title: Sleeping position Post by Dave on May 21st, 2006, 8:42pm Has anyone found any impact of sleeping position? Is there a sleeping position that works better than other postions? My experience has been that if a night time doozy is gonna come, it's gonna come no matter what position you sleep in. But in the low kip regime, it may be a different story. Preferred positions seem to be sleeping on my side opposite my cluster side or alternatively on my back with very significant head elevation. |

Title: Re: Sleeping position Post by Jasmyn on May 22nd, 2006, 3:05am Dave, I did find that sleeping in a sitting position, with ice packs under my pillowcase and a fan blowing directly on the top of my head helps. Yip and drinking Melatonin before bedtime. |

Title: Re: Sleeping position Post by Bob_Johnson on May 22nd, 2006, 2:02pm Yes: For years, sleeping on my back would trigger an attack as would sitting in a chair which put pressure on my back around the kidney area. |

Title: Re: Sleeping position Post by Markaf on May 22nd, 2006, 5:43pm I found that sleeping in a recliner works best for me. For some reason laying down in bed allways seemed to set off severe headaches. |

Title: Re: Sleeping position Post by sailpappy on May 23rd, 2006, 10:18am ;;D I know I mentioned this before, Might have been on the Old Baord though! "I found that removing the Head Board and getting a bigger(Longer) bed kept me from pressing my head against the Head Board, also sleeping with my arms folded under me while sleeping on my stomach help minimize attacks during periods of high attack activity!" Maybe I'm the Nut Case Jonny Mentions?? Hehehe! Being Chronic means never sleeping through the night! 3 hits a night is my norm! Pappy |
