Title: look what the American Headache Society said Post by Benjamin_michael on May 20th, 2006, 11:46pm Because of the lack of interest in the Cluster Headache Section it was proposed by Dr. Rozen that: “At the present time the Cluster Section will be placed in hiatus. There were no nominations for section head to take over for Dr. Rozen. If there is an interest, we will reconvene at next years scientific meeting to vote for a new section head and reestablish the cluster headache section”. If anyone is interested in becoming section head please email Brian Devost at BDevost@talley.com. Sincerely, Todd Rozen, MD |

Title: Re: look what the American Headache Society said Post by unsolved1 on May 21st, 2006, 12:07am So, what does that really mean? If that's Dr. Todd Rozen who is now at MHNI, I can't see him not seeing cluster patients or trying to find ways to help them. I'm sure I could make a call or send an e-mail to him and be his patient once again. I never stopped seeing him because I didn't like him or his methods. He aggressively tried to help me. He just didn't do Histmine Desensitization, and I was ready to try it .. So, I met Dr. Diamond. UNsolved PS. I just got an e-mail from him recently that said ... "Good luck Michael-check back because we are always looking at new treatments todd rozen" |

Title: Re: look what the American Headache Society said Post by unsolved1 on May 21st, 2006, 11:08am That means nothing to me. I met with him before and after that was said and like I said before, he aggressivley tried to help me. We even did some experimental (for clusters)medciations to try and stop the attacks. Dr. Rozen himeslf has NOT given up on trying to help cluster patients or trying to find new affective treatments both abortive and preventive. UNsolved |

Title: Re: look what the American Headache Society said Post by BobG on May 21st, 2006, 11:10am I read it as saying Dr. Rozen has chosen to move on and allow someone else the opportunity to carry as the head of the Cluster Headache section. There was nobody interested in the job. Doesn't surprize me at all. There's no money in it. But, in no way do I mean the Dr. Rosen was in it for the money. Follow the dollars. |

Title: Re: look what the American Headache Society said Post by Bob_Johnson on May 21st, 2006, 11:21am This does not mean that he is stopping practice of medicine but that the professional society sub-section, which he was chairing, will no longer be in operation. |
