Title: LYRICA QUESTION
Post by clusterdeb on May 14th, 2006, 12:18pm
My neurologist has taken me off Zonisamide.
Now he said to try Lyrica, anyone  ever tried and had success with this preventative? [smiley=huh.gif]

I have tried it with out sucess, don't let that keep you from trying it though, what works once may not work again and what didn't work once may work great next time.

Has anyone received nerve blocks? My neurologist has injected me at the base of my skull with lidocaine and steroids. It seemed to work the first time but, the second and third time, results were nothing.
Anyone heard or had this????

I had an Occipital Nerve Block back in the first part of last year.  It didn't help and I haven't tried again.  You wouldn't be the first person to have something work once and then not again.  Part of the game, I guess.

My Neurologist started me on Lyrica for my current cycle. I first tried 75mg twice a day with no success.  I then tried 150mg twice a day.  This was better but I was still getting a lot of "break-thru" headaches.  I am currently taking 150mg four times a day (600mg) and  the worst headaches are gone.  Along with that I am dizzy most of the time.  Trade-off.
