Hang in there Michael, clustermasx is definitely a good investment.

A clustermasx is definitely the best investment a clusterhead can make.
I can abort in five to seven minutes using one and I live it, I can hold it on with one hand, no more using both hands to try and prevent leaks.
My four year old son has one too and he calls it his mgic masx. He say's it blows the custard monster (the beast to you and me!) out of his nose and stops him eating his (Jaspers) brain. You can't really get a better recommendation than that now can you?! :)

I have a regulator supplied by Apria that does go to 15lpm.   What advantage will Hap's reg. provide.  I'm looking for all of the help I can get.  The clustermask was a huge improvement.

Rich.....all I do is take a 540 and drill out the restriction nut.
You can find the directions HERE. (http://ouchpanj.org/cgi-bin/yabb//YaBB.pl?board=Projects;action=display;num=1129920879)

It allows for MASSIVE O2 flow, which is very handy when you wake up with a real Kipper Upper, and don't have time to wait for the bag to fill at a mere 15 lpm - I can huff 2-3 times that much when I wake up crazed and demented. It's REALLY helpful filling the big bag in seconds -

Of course, if 15 lpm is all you need, forget all this and stick with what works.

Personally, more is always better.

That looks like the shirt BobP had on in Atlanta that Jonny bid 200.00 for.

Care to donate THAT shirt to the auction RJ?

Sounds great.  I have the reg that fits on the "E" tanks.  S far with only shadows goin' on, it's been great, but as you said I'm sure with a full blown Kip 8+ I'm gonna be huffin alot more.  Are there options for my reg?  It's the one that slides over the cylinder valve and tightens down with a t-bolt.

If it's the cylinder model, then No.....you can't do anything with it, although if you keep your eyes on eBay, you'll come across some 870's that go up to 25 lpm. (http://cgi.ebay.com/OXYGEN-REGULATOR-BRASS-CONSTANT-FLOW_W0QQitemZ9506817365QQcategoryZ75080QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) If you have one of the dual gauge models (below), you can still drill out the restriction nut, but it's a little different. You'll probably be drilling thru a hunk of white plastic, which should be totally removed. That'll give you Mondo Flow.
You need to be careful with the high flow rates, and pay Real Close attention. The LPM gauge don't mean squat anymore. You can blow up a bubbler, or pop your bag.
Definitely NOT for the O2 impaired.

Hi

Let me be a troll / Charlatan for a moment.......... and ill advertise a product......... which I tried and worked (for me)
It’s called             CLUSTERMASX                   If you don’t have it, get it because you deserve it………
A very successful investment in your life.
Until I had it I didn’t believe it will deliver allmost 100% O2 (with the mouth unit) – IT DOSE about 90-95% which is 20% 0r more then the NRM which is tops up to 70-75 % (all No. for cluster mask are for the moment  estimate will have it tested soon)
I have a regulator supplied by Carbagas in Switzerland  that does go to 15 l/pm

Wow ..that beats the 1 gallon zip-lock bag mod I put on my standard Non-rebreather. Biggest part i am having problems with are the crappy one way flap valves used on the standard masks.

Maybe you guys find it intuitively obvious on how to order the ClustermasX, but I found it quite hard.
There is no info to the left on it, and no link. I could find no link to it anywhere until I ran across post from "randy" on the OUCH Pa NJ site. He posted the link in his message as will I :
http://homepages.nildram.co.uk/~tritech2/clusterx/index.html
I just ordered my mask  :D

Hmm .. are you telling me that the clustermasx link is left off the fourm on purpose? It certainly appears that way.
Google it ... yes, that works. TYVM. But, you know what would be nice in the O2 section would be a blurb about the clustermasx being VERY effective and if you want one ... GOOGLE IT!

Would you like someone to hold your hand too as you key in your order?
Geez. Good luck if you ever want to try Clusterbusters, for that one there's a a few more gaps that the user has to fill in themselves to complete the process.

[smiley=laugh.gif]Waddever .. links are for useful links. I can't think of  a more useful one if this site is not going to offer the clustermasx in its store. The proper use of O2 is too damned important for relief to us. Having a tool that makes it easier is important too.
I am not looking to pick a fight, Scott, just stating an opinion.

Heya Dave,

There's no link on the O2 page, mostly because Ben's waiting for the Cmasx to get the final seal of approval in the UK. It's taking longer than expected due to the usual unforeseen difficulties. Once all the legal stuff is straightened out, you can believe it'll be available at the drop of a hat.

For now, what we're getting are "Prototypes" (some assembly required). They're only available outside the UK. They're packaged by a poor. old, graying guy with what could only be described as a bad case of Rickets. He does them one at a time. Each one. Every day. Then to the post office, and the line. Every time.

Once they go into production mode, it all get's much easier. Until then, you have to go the underground route, snag one when you can, and let your neighbor know that Clustermasx.com is alive and well.

The instructions for the Secret Handshake comes with the masx.

LMAO ..

RJ, I probably didn't deserve the long version, but i certainly appreciate it.

I also find it amazing .. the service that Ben is providing to us!!
I look forward to learning the secret handshake as well!!

Dave
