Title: asking advice from fellow chronics Post by Charlotte on Mar 17th, 2006, 4:06pm I have gone through the past few years tyring to ignore everything until I hit the wall, and this doesn't really work that well. I have a few questions - what is the difference between a shadow and a kip 1-4 or a slient cluster? I always have counted those as pf but if they can be used to gauge what's coming and what to avoid or start doing then I would like to know more. I don't have the internet at home so I don't have as much time to search the threads as I'd like. If someone could explain or link topic here for me, I'd greatly appreciate it. Also, I have an adversion to meds but they do ease it some. Does not taking meds make a person go chronic? Around the time I became chronic, I had a bad experience with Verapamil where I got slammed with hit after hit after hit until I stopped taking it, but that could have just been the end stage of the cycle. Since I took it the whole cycle, I had no comparison. Depakote worked for the early part of a cycle but the end pain levels and frequency were unbearable. I had a blood test and was informed that I had just the right amount in my blood and it was working right. That was on the 2nd day of 5 days at kip 8-9. So I stopped that also. Thank you for your help. I will check in later. I also wanted to apologize for the hit and run nature of my posting. It's just that I have access for 15 minutes or an hour at a time. I plan to get the internet at home but have to get a better computer. Mine is only good for homework printing. |
