Title: Should I take meds at possible end?
Post by jackieg on Feb 27th, 2006, 1:57pm
I am in my 14th week of te longest cycle for me.  They have lasted 3 months in the past. I am only being hit at 6:00 AM and can easily abort with O2 and an Imitrex nasal.  I wake at the onset and can treat before things get bad. A few cups of coffee during the day keeps me good until the next morning.  This has been the pattern for a few weeks. My neuro thinks I should try Depakote to completely end the cycle. Should I risk things starting up or will this be a positive way to end things?

My opinion.

Why mess with an improving situation and risk stirring things up.

...has been to always get off the meds ASAP although I've never tried Depakote.

I have to side with MJ on this one.

wishing you PFDAN

When in doubt whip it out. [smiley=laugh.gif]
Always try to minimize the intake of the poison they give us.

I wouldn't.If your cycle is winding down then management becomes easier and easier without meds.

End of a cycle I start planning to get off meds not start new ones.

I think we are all agreed on that one. Hold off new meds unless it becomes unbearable.
