Title: Should I take meds at possible end? Post by jackieg on Feb 27th, 2006, 1:57pm I am in my 14th week of te longest cycle for me. They have lasted 3 months in the past. I am only being hit at 6:00 AM and can easily abort with O2 and an Imitrex nasal. I wake at the onset and can treat before things get bad. A few cups of coffee during the day keeps me good until the next morning. This has been the pattern for a few weeks. My neuro thinks I should try Depakote to completely end the cycle. Should I risk things starting up or will this be a positive way to end things? |

Title: Re: Should I take meds at possible end? Post by MJ on Feb 27th, 2006, 2:06pm My opinion. Why mess with an improving situation and risk stirring things up. |

Title: My strategy... Post by Richr8 on Feb 27th, 2006, 6:03pm ...has been to always get off the meds ASAP although I've never tried Depakote. I have to side with MJ on this one. wishing you PFDAN Rich |

Title: Re: Should I take meds at possible end? Post by chewy on Feb 28th, 2006, 8:41pm I wouldn't.If your cycle is winding down then management becomes easier and easier without meds. End of a cycle I start planning to get off meds not start new ones. |

Title: Re: Should I take meds at possible end? Post by Dragnlance on Mar 1st, 2006, 8:55am I think we are all agreed on that one. Hold off new meds unless it becomes unbearable. Dragnlance |
