Hi all
nothing like introducing myself with a controversial thread !!
I was diagnised with cluster headaches 4 yrs ago after
going to the dr with what i thaught was an explosion in my head that happened during --- with the wife just at the crucial point the explosion happened :o just about flew off the bed grabed my head expecting to see blood everywhere nothing screamed and rocked back and fowards frightened the hell out of wife
after the pain had gone (never felt anything like it before)
made an appointment to see the dr he sent me to specialist for a scan,specialist afterwards said to me that it is common for c h to be triggered by climax.
my question is boes anyone else have this same reaction ??? (not all the time only when in a cluster period )

Regrettably, a number of others have experienced the same thing. As to the cause, well, it's either politicians or the All Blacks or perhaps both.

Hmmmmm...my guess would be it's the "down unders" version of The Oakland Raiders.

Fortunatley for me........that hasn't become a trigger yet. With all of the other indignities thrust on us by this malady...........that would just be the icing on the cake!!! ;;D

I think we need an extensive clinical trial.

Could take years, and will likely require many enthusiastic volunteers.

Hello Zeek,

Sorry for your pain, but it is known that climax is not a cause of cluster headaches, but a trigger for an attack, just like your specialist said.

Yes it has happened that climaxing has triggered many a CH tho, you are not alone. Although, having sex is the last thing on my mind when I'm in cycle.

YUP!!! Exactly when my first one happened. That was over 28 years ago ... A climax is still a trigger, but, for purely scientific research reasons, I keep testing it to see if it still triggers.

Unfortunately, it still does ... DAMNIT!!

ummmm, sorry Zeek. Has never been an issue here. I'm fall episodic, no night hits anymore, and this time around, I'm well armed for battle.
