Title: Longtime Reader, First Time Poster Post by malkidm on Sep 25th, 2007, 3:21pm Hi Everyone. My name is David. I'm a right-handed episodic and have had clusters for approximately 19 years. I started my first cluster at the ripe old age of 13. Over the years, I've just learned how to deal with it. After reading posts on this board, I've decided to do something about it. I'm getting too damned old for this crap and some friends and family members agree. My first Neuro appt is in November and I hope that we can find a treatment that provides relief. Thanks to all of you for being here David. |

Title: Re: Longtime Reader, First Time Poster Post by Beastfodder on Sep 25th, 2007, 5:47pm David, First post is always the hardest! Through here you'll find no end of support and ideas. Like keeping a diary and do look at O2 as a first port of call as an abortive and getting lots of questions together for your neuro appointment. all the best |

Title: Re: Longtime Reader, First Time Poster Post by malkidm on Sep 26th, 2007, 10:30am Thanks for the warm welcome guys. O2 therapy is definately on my list of questions for the doc. Just out of curiosity, have any of you had trouble convincing your insurance company to pay for oxygen and related supplys? David |

Title: Re: Longtime Reader, First Time Poster Post by Rosybabe on Sep 26th, 2007, 8:58pm David, if you get the RX from a Doctor it shouldn't be a big problem to make the insurance company give you the O2. But if you do, there is always welders Oxygen. Good Luck :) Rosy. |

Just a few questions (I'm assuming from your response that you use O2/[sub]). 1. Generally how much does a tank O[sub]2 cost? 2. How big of a tank do you usually have to get? 3. How long does a tank typically last in your case? Wayne wrote... Quote:
Thanks, but after some of the ridicule i've seen over what is (in my mind, at least) a very serious topic, I think I'll keep my "non-mainstream" tricks and experiments to myself. I was kind of hoping for more of a discussion. I may be out of line, but it seems like if the discussion is not about O2, 'shrooms, or Imitrex, then the poster is automatically assumed to be a prankster, a nut job, or a faker. I get enough of that at work [smiley=laugh.gif] Have a PFD, everyone! |
