How long you've had CH what you've tried, what did and didn't work etc. It's what makes the board so valuable, all the info exchanged, and again, welcome aboard! Guiseppi |

Title: Re: Lurker Comes To Life!! Post by Mare on Feb 22nd, 2007, 10:03am Ooops, should have done that! I've had CH since the early 80's. I typically have a cycle lasting 6 to 8 weeks and then a two year remission. As a lot of you know, "back in the day" there was a lot of treatment for sinus and migraine going on so we missed the boat for a lot of years. I was finally diagnosed with CH in 96, treated with anti-depressents to "keep me calm" ::) and oxygen. Of course I fell in love with the oxygen. Ironically after that diagnoses I've been cluster-free for almost 11 years. Didn't I just think I had it licked!! [smiley=laugh.gif] That is, until the beast showed up at my door the first of this year. My work situation has changed now and I can't have the oxygen with me as my husband and I are team truck drivers and that would be considered hazmat in the cab so this cycle has been a booger. I also had my gall bladder removed two weeks ago so as you can tell, we've had a lot going on. I'm feeling like I'm coming up on the end of the thing so I'm going to try to get back on the truck today and see how it goes. I should add that I use imetrex and so far it's worked well for me. I'm sorry this is so long and also sorry I don't have anything new to add. I've just been overjoyed to find you all here and am grateful for all of the information. We've all come a long way, even since 96. PF days and nights to all. |
