Title: Just want to vent a little
Post by mac194 on Feb 19th, 2007, 4:48pm
Hello all,
I am in the middle of a cycle, or at least I am hoping that I am at LEAST in the middle of this crap. (3 months). I have been to this site before many times, but have never signed on to post anything until recently. If you dont want to hear me cry in my coffee, please stop here.

Dont you just hate it when you get an administrative change at work, and you have to start all over trying to explain CH. My new boss just looks at me and smiles when I talk to him about it. Makes me wanna pick up a chair and commence to smash it over his head. Sorry for the violent tendencies, but the meds and lack of any disernable sleep have me a little on edge and grumpy.

Don't you also hate it when you try and refill a med, but your insurance says that you are not due to refill it for another three days, so they will not pay. Last time I checked, I do not have a money tree growing in the back yard, so I guess that I am going to have to go to war with the beast without any allies.

Dont you also hate that just when you think that you have may have gotten over on the beast, he (or she) throws you a 180 mph fastball that totally misses the strike zone and smashes right into the side of your face. The beast had been making house calls in the evening hours for a while now. One night, no house calls, so you are sooooo grateful. Instead, the beast decides to visit you in the daylight hours. Just wants to keep you on your toes!

I guess the moral of my stupid tirade is that I hate CH. I hate how it makes my family feel, I hate how it makes my friends feel, I hate how it makes all of you feel,  and I hate how it makes me feel. Ahhhhhhhhhh, I feel better.

Hi Mac

Vent away, please. By venting away it will make you feel better and it will encourage other people to vent also.

We all have felt what you have felt, at one stage or another. We all have moments when we plead to God to please stop this as we cant take it anymore. We all have had urges to smack people over the head over their carelessness  or lack of empathy while we are right down on the ground with feelings of despair that words cant even describe. We all have days and nights sitting there, heart pounding with fear as to when the beast is going to come knocking ....

Hugs to you every single time you are hurt, prayers to you every single time you feel despair, an extended hand to you to pull you up every single time you collapse in a heap on the floor and a joyous hi-five every single time you get up again and kick him to the curb, is what will be on offer here in abundance.  :-*

Hang in there, this too shall pass. Do share and believe in the understanding and love that you will receive here, as we are family and there is definitely strength in numbers.

Painfree wishes to you and sending heaps of invincible vibes.

Annette

Vent all you want, we have all been there and it does totally suck! Have you tried the oxygen route yet? A relatively inexpensive route and really effective for many of us. Hoping you get a break soon, sounds like you could use it!

Yep I’ve had to do that 3 times in as many years and you start to think ah shit here we go again trying to educate another.
Fortunately I’ve had good supervisors who are part of the scene & not the managerial types.
Ah well only 5 years till I retire so if things continue in the same vane then I will only have to travel down that road maybe 5 more times.

Welcome aboard Mac your in good company.
Cheers
Barry

Mac I hope this helps
Print it off and show it to friends, family, work colleagues - the whole shooting gallery!

Have you tried any of our little homegrown recomendations here? Ice or heat (depending on which works for you) STRONG coffee, red bull (or el cheapo equivalents!) Caffeine is our bestest best friend as ch'ers. It is actually a vaso constrictor so it will reduce those blood vessels like Imi if you can chug it soon enough and fast enough. Keep one with you at all times.

Have you tried O2? My own personal godsend.

We WILL get you through this, we'll help you find some extra weapons to fight this beast with I promise!

RAAAAHHHHH, I completely feel your rage!!!  Especially with work, my last employer was completely understanding however I had sooo much leave owed that they didn't care when I took days off.  My new employer has never seen me in a cycle, I've given him the letter but he still thinks that a magic drug will fix it!!!!  And therefore I will still be able to perform at 150% every day without fail.  For sure..... and then I will go and get my pixie dust and sprinkle it around and wait for the magic flowers to grow  ;;D

I feel so much better now too, thanks.

You are amongst friends, friends that understand and feel your rage because we have all been there.
I love it to when the pharmacist thinks they are better at telling me when I can have my medication over what my doctor says. It’s to soon to have this, well my doctor wrote me the script so he thinks it not so STFU and give me my medication! Well that’s what I would like to say when I get the typical you’re a drug seeker from the pharmacist.

You are in the right place my friend, I am very sorry you suffer but take heart in that you are not in it alone any longer and you now have a lot of friends that truly understand.

Matt
