Title: I'm new here....again. Post by MorDog on Dec 10th, 2006, 12:15pm I found this site back in 2003 towards the end of my episode and posted a few times. I apologize for not hanging around when my episode ended but it is so easy to completely dismiss CH from my thoughts when they are in remission. Well now I am back and so are the CH. Started the last day of Nov. I just thought I should re-introduce myself since I only posted about 6 or 7 times before, so here I am. I am 35 and have had CH since my early 20's didn't get diagnosed with them until I saw a 3 sentance description on them at the bottom of some pamphlet and took it to my doctor and showed him back in 2001. I use the imitrex nasal and it seems to be working for me so far. Usually ends the attack in 5 to 10 mins and if I take it soon enough when one starts it won't get a chance to peak. Doctor has been more receptive to treating this than in the past. He offered to give a prescrip for the injections if I wanted that instead. Seems he has been doing some reading on CH. Well I guess that about sums it up. Thanks for listening/reading! :) Just wanted to add that I also get those stabbing or icepick zaps that last a couple of seconds on the same side that I suffer the CH on. |

Title: Re: I'm new here....again. Post by Guiseppi on Dec 10th, 2006, 4:44pm If he's open minded, ask him about oxygen. Print out the info on the left and show it to him. It has less side effects then imitrex and a heck of a lot less expensive. Hope you find relief soon. Guiseppi |
