after quite some time i have come back to this site.
i was wondering if anyone out there has been prescribed dilaudid(hydromorphone) for the pain. i had been taking morphine sulfate for quite some time and recently my neuro added dilaudid to the mixture, which includes prednisone, verapamil and lamotrigine. have been chronic for about 10 years now and nothing has been effective to stop the pain. any thoughts on the dilaudid?

Hi Back..
I read your other posts about dilaudid, and just wanted to add that there have never been any narcotics that I've been given that have worked for me. I can tell you from my experience morphine, demerol and the like are great for the pain of: having an ovary removed, kidney stones, gall-stones/gall-bladder remval, and a c-section, but none of those drugs has ever helped with CH, for me. Have you tried O2 yet? It's been a life-saver for me. Take care........
