Hello fellow clusterheads. Well I am now in to my third month of an episodic cycle and it is by far the worst that I have had in the 10 years that I have been at the mercy of the demon :-[ All of the preventative meds are of no avail (lithium, verapamil and topomax). I just got out of a 2 1/2 day stay in the hospital with DHE45 injections every 8 hrs in an attempt to abort the cycle. In as much as the headache I was having was aborted (which Imitrex and oxygen would have done) and I did not have another for two days I was dismissed without advancing to the next stage of treatment. Everyone in the hospital kept saying the DHE45 worked well on Migraines notwithstanding my repeated reminders that I did not have migraines. I returned home only to be welcomed by the demon the next night etc. I am at my wits end. I am now ready for alternative treatment of this awful affliction.

Hey Ernie,
Hang tough. DHE never worked for me either, or any other prevents, then when the aborts fail..dont forget to breathe.

Ernie,

I'm so sorry that the beast is giving you a hard time right now. [smiley=hug.gif]

It's horrible to deal with the devil without meds. Now, there's lots of info about kudzu and rc seeds, and other treatments you can read about. Some have found relief with taurine tablets (I'm waiting for mine to arrive). I personally trust on Red Bull - I go get an ice cold can as soon as I feel the beast coming. I'm PF within 5 minutes.

Before you pick what to try next, read about other treatments and make sure that it's safe for you to try. Some of us have other conditions, which can have an impact on what treatment should be tried next.

I hope that you will find relief soon. PF vibes are on their way to you.

Ernie sorry your having a rough time of it right now, at least you have found us, welcome stick around and read all you can you should pick up something that will help, we are all with you hoping for some PF time for you soon
