Title: Quick apology Post by tarheel03 on Oct 15th, 2006, 3:30pm Hi all, As I've spent a significant amount time on this site over the past week or so, I have really learned a lot (both about CH and about this community). I have re-read my first post a few times ("Will there ever be a cure" ) and wanted to extend a belated apology for asking such a question. Without knowing that this group existed, I often wondered whether there were enough people out there suffering from CH to be able to support a study of the condition - thinking that maybe we were being ignored. I now know that I am incorrect, and I also now understand that the use of word "Cure" is not taken lightly. I wish I could change my initial post's title! So, as they say, hindsight is always 20-20 - and I wanted to extend an apology to you all for starting off on that note. Thank you for your responses just the same, and I promise to be a more informed poster from here on out. Take care & PF wishes to all! Meg |

Title: Re: Quick apology Post by Charlotte on Oct 15th, 2006, 3:57pm I re-read your thread, and it is a thoughtful question presented in a careful way. There is no need for you to apologize. Also, you are still here, contributing, and holding on to the lifeline. I aplogize for having "cure" as a trigger word. Charlotte |

Title: Re: Quick apology Post by georgej on Oct 15th, 2006, 7:14pm There is a great deal of difference between asking whether there will ever be a cure, and saying "I have a cure". Asking whether there will ever be a cure is not the one that will stir up trouble. ;) Furthermore, there is a big difference between saying, "I have a cure", and "I'm selling a cure". We get that here, too. The latter posts do not generally end well. Not to worry. You were askin', not sellin'. :) Best wishes, George |

Title: Re: Quick apology Post by BB on Oct 15th, 2006, 7:58pm Asking question is fine and dandy. No need to apologise. The worst thing that can happen when asking a question is the answer No. In our case, lets hope it is Not yet ! Annette |

Title: Re: Quick apology Post by chewy on Oct 16th, 2006, 3:41pm Asking if there will be one is just fine. Telling us there is and you have it is another. I ask myself everyday if there will be a cure. |
