Title: Thank God for DJ Post by Bill_G. on Oct 15th, 2006, 10:19am Hi everyone, My name is Bill and I have been playing the dodge-em game of trying to be PF for about six years now. I just found out about this site a couple of days ago, as I was becoming desparate finishing week 7 of my latest episode. I just found out about 02 this episode and emptied the bottle last night. Damn thing only lasted three days. For the most part, it is, like Ive been reading, a life saver. Nothing seemed to want to work last night. Over the time of the headache I went through 200mg if Imitrex, 350mg of Tramadol, 1 percocet and the tank gauge said 750lbs. in my 02 bottle.Later today I'm going to the local Fire Department to see if they can charge the bottle for me since the store I got the bottle from is closed today. One closing thought GO BUCKEYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Title: Re: Thank God for DJ Post by BB on Oct 15th, 2006, 10:45am Hi Bill, Welcome to the Board and I agree with you totally. 1- Thank God for DJ and this board. 2- Its so frustrating to run out of oxygen. Thats why its a good idea to make sure you stock up on it. My CH husband always has a spare oxygen tank sitting in the garage. 3- Sometimes nothing works, just need to vent and reap the vibes from here to ride it out. Lots of vibes going your way and painfree wishes too. When you feel better, please come back and chat to us all about your CH. Are you on any preventive like prednisone or verapamil ? Take care. Title: Re: Thank God for DJ Post by RichardN on Oct 28th, 2006, 11:44pm Hi Bill and Welcome to Clusterville I'm chronic and had a year of hell before my wife found this site (2/02). This place gave me my life back . . . and we ALL praise DJ on a regular (and deserved) basis. I assume you do have the proper mask (non-rebreather . . with the bag) and regulator (15 lpm). Key for me is to use as early as possible in the attack . . . MINUTES MATTER! I keep 10 "E" tanks and two "B" tanks (small enough to fit in a backback). I now have an extra regulator I keep in my van so I don't have to haul back and forth from house to vehicle . . . am never more than a couple of minutes from my 02. Can't take Imitrex (arterie blockage and high cholesterol), so 02 is my only abortive . . . a real miracle for those of us it works for. You have found the motherlode of CH information and the info/caring/sharing you'll find here comes from folks who truly know your pain. Be Safe. PFDANs Richard |
