my doctor just put me onEFFEXOR XR. SHE SAID THE ANTI- DEPRESSION medication will help, we will see, i sure hope so

doctor is treating you for migrane.

ask to be referred to a neurologist.
anti a's did nothing for me

I've used lithium for many years as a preventative when on cycle, have never heard of effexor. You should read everything you can on this site, take the info to your doctor and get them to work with you. I've seen very few people on the board who have found any relief just blindly going to the doctor and saying help me. There are too few dosctors who know anything about CH. The info is here, it's your job to present it to your doc. I hope the effexor helps you, if not start reading!!!

Welcome and glad tht you found us.

Not sure how you would get a proper diagnosos of CH from a Dr. who has given you nothing that will help. Read all that is here and elsewhere on this site:
