Title: Hello all Post by maureenv on Aug 13th, 2006, 12:02am Hi Everyone :) Well I am kinda new. Was on here a bit a yr or so ago. Have had ch for 22 yrs thought I had my cycles all figured out when i went into cycle 7 months early, following a move back to my hometown. Seems that my cycle remembered living here as well and changed back with the move as well. :-/ So in between the moving boxes I set up the biggest o2 tank I could get my hands on, a couple little ones for traveling and socalizing lol. Found a new dr got all the meds required and ready, I think. I am finding so far this cycle to be less intense then the past and my fear is that could I just be adjusting to moving and will I still be hit with another cycle in 7 months. Has anyone else had something like this happen? Should I expect another cycle in 7 months? Anyways thanks to all for the great advice on here and wish you all pf days and nights Maureen |

Title: Re: Hello all Post by LeLimey on Aug 13th, 2006, 5:58am Hello Maureen welcome back! Sounds like you have had a busy time with moving and what not, the last thing you need is the beast rearing his ugly head. :-/ If this cycle is less intense then thats good, I hope you can ride it out fairly easily. Don't worry about what happens next though hon, you can't change it and worrying about it will only spoil the good days you'll have between now and then. What will be will be so make it good alright?! |

Title: Re: Hello all Post by Melissa on Aug 15th, 2006, 10:21pm Hello Maureen, Sorry I don't have an answer for you about your cycle. I got hit with a surprise cycle myself the beginning of December (it ended in Feb.). Who knows what the beast will do next sometimes! Anyway, glad to hear you're fixed up with the O2. Way too many sufferers are denied it or have a hard time getting it. Very sad... Here's hoping this cycle is short and sweet and just a fluke. Take care, mel |

Title: Re: Hello all Post by Gator on Aug 15th, 2006, 10:43pm Sorry to have to welcome you back, but then, at least there is a place to welcome you back to. Sounds like you have your arsenal ready to do battle. Good for you. I hope you don't need it, but better to be ready and not need it than the other way around. No point in spending too much time trying to figure out the beast. As we have all learned, he will show up when he gets good and ready to and leave when the notion strikes him. The important thing is to live between the hits. Sounds like you are doing fine there as well. With 22 years experience, you probably have some good advice or at least a strong shoulder to give to a newbie. Stick around, we can always use another shoulder to lean on around here. Good luck with the move. Mike |

Title: Re: Hello all Post by sandie99 on Aug 16th, 2006, 6:09am Hi Maureen! Welcome back. :) I'm sorry to hear that the beast is back, but I hope that it's a short visit this time. During my 5 Ch years I have learned that you can never tell what the beast does next. I hope that there won't be a new cycle for you after 7 months, though. Best wishes & PFdays, Sanna |

Title: Re: Hello all Post by serendipity on Aug 16th, 2006, 6:47am Hey, Maureen. About the intensity of your headaches, I'm experiencing the same thing, and I've read here that others are, too. I don't know how these things are "supposed" to work, but I haven't been hit with a 10 in at least the last four cycles. I don't know...I just sort of chalked it up to having a higher pain tolerance than I used to. I've also read that some people age out of these things, and I have to admit to hoping that's what is happening to me. Like everyone else said, trying to figure out all the unexpected twists and turns will get you nowhere. Just when we think we have it down to a science, the Beast will throw us a sucker punch! |

Title: Re: Hello all Post by maureenv on Aug 16th, 2006, 4:45pm Thanks everyone Unfortuatly my cycle was just a little slow kicking in but at least I'm ready with all the arsenal I can get. Including this site, I consider it the strongest weapon in my bag of tricks. The support here is priceless and I am not to proud to say ya I need it. Hopefully I can help others the way you all have helped me. O.K. I'll stop now before I have to pull out the tissues [smiley=blush.gif] Maureen |
