Title: Thanks for the help
Post by Tattoo on Jul 29th, 2006, 4:07pm
Well first off , I have been reading these forums for a few weeks now but I have never posted .
I have had CH since 2002 and went thru hell with doctors untill one knew what was wrong with me . That was my first "cycle" and the CH went away as fast as they came . Now 4 years later they came back ,but alot stronger than my first ones . My first cycle lasted about 2 months give or take a few days with 5-6 HA a day at the peak . This time i'm 5 weeks in and still get 3-4 a day and at least 1 killer after I go to sleep , I think the worst part for me is I know when they are coming .
Noon & midnight  with the midnight being a 7-9 painwise so far only one 10 a few weeks ago , then I have a 4-5 painwise at 6 am & sometimes between 4-6 pm . I have my imitrex but sometimes it just "dulls" the pain but hell at this point i'll take anything lol . I am going to go see a specialist but he cant get to me till Sep. 25th . Well anyways I have tried a few of thew things some of you have said worked for you and the melatonin is working somewhat for sleep , redbull made me sick but I think it was the taste more than anything lol , I bought some super caffine coffee from my local mall and it doesnt do anything but keep me awake .
well again thanks and pain free wishes to all .

Hello Tattoo and welcome to the family.  The best advice I can give you is to just keep on reading, especially the archives, to find out what people have tried that's worked for them and what has not.  You will not have the same results as everyone else, as each one of us is different.  As for myself, last cycle I had I used Kudzu as a preventative and O2 (at 12lpm) with a Clustermasx ( http://homepages.nildram.co.uk/~tritech2/clusterx/index.html ) as an abortive.

Sorry you have clusters, but this place is a saving grace for so many sufferers, and I'm glad you found it.

Take care,
:)mel
