Title: Newbie Intro Post by toonzboss on Jul 14th, 2006, 6:37pm So glad to find you guys! My ch started in 86, I had a head injury and subsequent blood clot in my brain in 84 and a Neurologist thought the ch were the result of nerve damage. Got a correct diagnosis in 87 and prescribed Elavil and worked great but when I left that overseas assignment (Turkey), I didnt see a doctor about it again and swore I would take care of it everytime I got one more but figured I just needed to get enough sleep and deal with it. I was in and out of cycles until 2001/02 and they stopped until about 2 months ago and I got online and found you through Google and here I am. Mine are on the left side always and start with the burning eye and then we're off to the races! I pace 90% of the time and have very often had to pull off the road when I'm driving. I'm so glad to find you guys, its so awesome to know that I am not the only one telling people, " No you don't get it, I can't just lie down and Tylenol won't help! And here we go I'm going into one right now, Yippee! |

Title: Re: Newbie Intro Post by georgej on Jul 15th, 2006, 12:11am Welcome, toonzboss. You'll find plenty of good information here and knowledgable people. If you have any questions or anything at all you'd like to talk about, ask away. There's usually someone around 24/7. I'm episodic and always a lefty for 40 years with clusters. Regards, George |

Title: Re: Newbie Intro Post by toonzboss on Jul 15th, 2006, 12:53am Thanks guys, it just blows my mind that since 1986 I had felt like the Lone Ranger with ch and totally not aware of any "fellow sufferers". It at least provides a source for info and possibly some relief, thanks. |

Title: Re: Newbie Intro Post by toonzboss on Jul 15th, 2006, 11:26pm Oh Yeah actually I just finished my first Red Bull, I have seen alot about it on this board. If it does help to any considerable degree it will be worth the 7.50 for 4 cans. And I am definitely going to check out Oxygen, that seems so logical for some reason. |

Title: Re: Newbie Intro Post by toonzboss on Jul 17th, 2006, 1:25pm This looks very good! I started getting "shadows" of a humdinger last night and I immediately killed a Red Bull and in about 10 maybe 15m once it had started to rock and roll, it tapered off in about 2 min. I am going today and stocking up on RB!! If this is indicative of future experience I will but it by the truckload!!!!! Thanks for the info "ClusterBuds"!!!!!!!!!! |

Hey there, toonz - glad you found this place. Sucks that you had to, but notSucks that you're here now. If that makes sense. Drink two of those puppies back to back sometime. Not only will you help kill the beast until next time, you'll also be ready to chew your own lips off. You might even see God. Seriously, this place has been a tremendous help to lots of people. Stick around. Your family is here. Bill |
