Title: Hi!
Post by roy21302 on Jul 11th, 2006, 3:43pm
Have not visited for some considerable time,  have been a warrior for 27 years+, I am in the middle of a very bad patch right now and finding it hard to cope.  I thought I have a look here for some support, knowing I am not alone helps.  It is great to read all of your messages.  Thanks for being there  :-/

Hi.  I know for me personally, I was facing some pretty hard depression before I got here.  Being able to talk to people who relate and are supportive has helped more than I could have imagined.  Pull up a chair and stay awhile!

Shane thanks for your enquiry, I am OK just going through hell as usual.  This lot started about March and has been up and down since, I rarely get a break, just times when it not as bad as others.  Most of the time I can cope, its just now and then it seems to really get to me.  I am due to see my consultant in 2 weeks, hope for some change then,  the stuff I take to even out the peaks and troughs does not seem to be working too well.  The Imigran injection work most of the time but I can't use them all the time.  I'll let you know how mit goes,  I will survive this thing will never beat me!!!

YES YOU WILL! Survive, that is!!
Roy, please feel free to vent all you want. Someone is here just about 24/7, and, now that you are counted as part of the crowd, you have all the ears you need to get thru this!
Please tell me you have someone at home to help you?
Please tell me you have read the info on the left side.especially that about 02. It has helped soo many!
We look forward to your PF time, Roy, and till then, you have friends......OK?

Wishing you PF,
Cathi

Roy,
Sorry to hear that you've been having to deal with the beast for this long of a while now.  You're right though.  It is something that you will work through just like I do, and all the others that look here and post here.  Coping with it can be very difficult  at times.  Not many (if any) understand what's goin on up there in the ole brain bucket.   ::)  Great attitude though mate.  You'll be okay.

Shane

Morning all, just had a rough night, but not too bad this morning.  I   usually get 4-5 a day when its bad, usually night time early part of day.  When its good I get 1 a day and sometimes it gets down to 3-4 a week.  I'd settle for that.  I am not on here alot as the wife believes it is not good for me to spend too much time in front of the screen.  Thanks for your support, back soon :)

Hey Roy,

You are not alone!!  I have been PF for 2 years and just started a cycle last Friday.  We'll get through this together, and with the support of the other folks here.

I have been reading for hours and it seems there is so much new info and help options out there - most importantly, the interaction amongst the memebers is so great.  It is good to know that so many people are there and willing to help!!

Hi, Roy.  Welcome aboard.  Hang in there. For me, it helps to have someone to talk to who knows what we're going through.

It's odd how we are all so alike and so different.

Charlotte

Mark and Charlotte thanks for your message,  I really do appreciate the support.  One of the best things about this site is that you find that all the strange things one does and thinks about CH,  aren't really that strange and you are not going mad, in fact there are lots of other people out going through the same thing.  I used to think it was strange to need to walk about, to pour ice cold water over my head and sit with ice packs on my neck.   I think the worst aspect of having had this thing for so long is that my poor wife has had to live with all that time too, she is one in a million, we have been married 39 years now so I guess I was lucky when I found her.  She finds it useful to read the entries on here too.  Well folks I am going now don't let the THING get too you Cheers
