Title: finally committed to the site Post by mr.c on Jun 30th, 2006, 2:07pm I have been looking at this site for quite a few years... Now I've signed up/on. I am 41 and have had ch since I was 17. Most of my episodes are 3-4 weeks... and go away for 18-24 months. My very first episode lasted a few months. This episode is weird... 3-4 ha a day, but started with 1 every three days. Finishing up my second month and am scared that it will never end... You know, because it is different than my previous I've just tried oxygen... About 70% good. I'm on imitrex shots... love it (usually) and stretch it out. :-/ |

Title: Re: finally committed to the site Post by Linda_Howell on Jun 30th, 2006, 5:10pm Sorry it took you so long to commit. As someone in another thread said, "we're a crazy bunch" but we don't bite honestly. Henderson Nevada, huh? BobG from this board lives in Henderson. Hope he see's this. It's always nice to have someone who understands, living near you so you can get together and commiserate. Linda |

Title: Re: finally committed to the site Post by georgej on Jun 30th, 2006, 11:13pm Welcome, Mr. C. Took me six years to "commit" as well. Don't know why, particularly, but I'm glad I did. Great bunch of people here. Best, George |

Title: Re: finally committed to the site Post by Kris_in_SJ on Jul 1st, 2006, 8:01pm Welcome Mr. C Glad to have you aboard. Aside from abortives, what meds are you taking? Any preventatives like Verapamil or Lithium? Prednisone taper? Curious minds want to know. Do you have a neuro or GP you trust with your treatment? You'll find many links here to some of the latest treatments and meds available for sufferers like us. Just full of questions, aren't I? If you've been lurking awhile, you probably know that we're all different. At the same time, our cycles can morph over time. The cycle we're in right now might be totally different from what we're used to. Don't get discouraged. This is the place to ask questions, rant, rave, whatever. You're among friends and fellow sufferers who know exactly what you're going through. Hugs, Kris |

I'm taking Proprananol... I know, I know... but it sometimes, seems to shorten the cycle... for me... well, sometimes yes and sometimes no. mr.c |
