hello to everybody,

first of all forgive me for my poor english.
I am german and live here in Florida.

Last week for the first time I heared about Cluster Headache.

My friend in Germany has a boy who is 12 and he was diagnosed Cluster Headache.

Now in German, they are not as far as you are over here regarding medicine or other kind of information.

My friend got a medication now for migrane but it doesnt help.

Is there an alternative to migrane medication ??

which medication most of you take in general ??

Thank you for reading my lines and I wish all of you that soon there will be a cure for this.

hello Visi... you tell your friend to come here and get the information translated if she has to... 12 is very young for cluster. We also have other children that have cluster headache here it is very hard on the family.

Welcome and I am so glad you came to us for help.

A lot of us take Triptans. Imitrex(Imigran in European countries I believe) Zomig, Amerge....

But if this is a 12 year old we're talking about I would say tell him about oxygen. At LEAST 12 Liters per min. with a non-rebreather mask. Cold Packs to the head as well as strong coffee. (the caffeine helps)

hello to all of you nice people,

thank you ever so much for the warm welcome and the fast reply.

It makes me cry, seing that all of you have such a big problem and yet you take the time to answer and try to help.

The english of my friend in germany, is very bad, thats why she is not writing for herself, but she had informed me, that in the USA the medicine is more advanced and the expertise of the doctors as well.

I was reading here yesterday about the oxygen and told her about it.

I will tell her about every message I got from you, I will translate it and email it to her, so that she can discuss it with her doctor.
