Cluster headaches
The worst, according to Owusu, are cluster headaches that come in attacks of one to three per day and usually last from 45 minutes to one hour. They often come after a patient has been asleep for 60 to 90 minutes. An important symptom is that people with cluster headaches are not able to stay still during an attack. At present time, injections of sumatriptan are the most effective treatment.
