Here it is my weekend off and it did not snow in the past 24 hours, so I am having a short break from shoveling the driveway! [smiley=thumb.gif] However, the weather office says we are suppose to get above freezing temps for the next 36 hours or so and rain is in the forecast! :P

We have about 2 feet of the heaviest snow yet on the roof so best get some of that weight off before it soaks up a bunch of rain in it! Trust me, the pic does not show the true amount or weight of this stuff.

The weather service is saying snow and colder temps will move in X-mas eve and X-mas day! ;;D

my day... well, first I went to Risto's funeral and memorial service, which was beautiful. after that i took presents to our neighbours, including risto's widow, lisbet. then i baked a fruit cake. that's my day so far.

Sticking close by my laptop and cell phone. Lots of fog in the midwest made for pilots that won't take off and land.

One of these years there will be negligible weather events the week before Christmas.

I'll be doing some household chores today, laundry, maybe make a cake... and of course sucking o2.

I'm doing so much stuff today I'm dizzy. The worst part is cleaning the gutters. Last week I tried but there was alot of ice---then last Sunday it rained alot with the Noreaster. Finally got to clean them out today, but it is cold out and my hands are shot. Now I'm going into the basement with a Stella.

I have Company coming tonight so I will be cleaning the house, putting out fresh towels and candles so they can drink too much and knock over the hot wax onto the carpet, cooking all the food ahead of time and raking the leaves in the yard. If I ever get my butt off this chair in the office and get going, that is.

Megan and I went to get her Father's gift. (an assortment of organic soup mixes for this [all organic] diet he's taken on). Picked up a couple bottles of Holiday Spirit Spirits. Last but not lease I has to run all over town, and I guess curling ribbon is not the "IN" way to decorate packages this year, let alone try to find the good metalic rolls of the stuff. I couldn't. So I settled on the cheap looking stuff and I'll just have to make due.

So...back home in the fog and drizzle, all errands run for the day, warmed up a batch of beef stew for lunch. Once that settles in our bellies, we will get a little cleaning taken care of and then I'll begin the festive task of preparing the Yule Eve feast of Roasted Capon, root vegetables, dinner rolls, and mulled wine.

Hunker in for the storm rolling in...make the kids some home made hot cocoa.

Wait to see how burried we get overnight and during the day tomorrow. :-/

Looks like awesome snowmobile weather Barry !!!!!!

We used to get snow here. I had an Indy 650 fuel injected Polaris.

It was so fast, it wasnt funny!!

Probably slow by todays standards, but man !!! what a rush !!!

Have fun & be careful on that roof.

Ah, a snowman with a beer...in Canada...makes sense...take off you hoser ;) ;;D ;;D ;;D

I am: working 8 hours overtime today, cleaning the house, playing my drums and cleaning my trucks.

Took a very long bath, had a few cookies then making pizza for dinner for after Lily gets home from church (she is serving today), then going to settle in with a fire in the fireplace and begin watching the 3rd season of Lost I received in the mail today with a huge bowl of popcorn. ;;D

Well gee, what have I done so far today?...

Gone grocery shopping...done some house cleaning...spent about an hour on the phone with the cable company because they tuned off my cable, internet and phone...(most of it on hold)...turns out I wasnt the only one they turned off, they had some sort of technical difficulties today. No big deal...my kids and I played uno and a couple other games which we love to do.

Now I am still just trying to figure out what to make for dinner...Any ideas?...lol

We're having that cheesy mushroom soup party potato bake with pork chops and a veggie.

Fire in the fireplace, good stick-to-the-rib food, and 3 movies from which to choose - To Kill A Mockingbird, The Bishop's Wife, or North by Northwest.

Does that give you any ideas?

Just woken up today, slept in a bit. I still have to work half a day today in the afternoon.

Otherwise general cleaning around and preparing food for cooking later.

at this moment, snarfin down pumpkin pie. But went shopping for Christmas Eve's prime rib, and spent most of the morning cropping photos from yesterday's party.

I see lots of beveraging in my near future too ;)
