Isn't it funny how perceptions vary? I've had so many people in the last few days saying "I'll bet you'll be glad when this year is over, you've had such a hard time"

You know what? I don't think I've had a bad year at all! I think its been one of my best ever in fact! I might have eaten rather more hospital green jelly than can possibly be good for a soul but I've also made loads of new and very dear friends  (you know who you are) got even closer to older friends, seen many of them and spoken on the phone as regularly as possible with a lot but not nearly as many as I'd like to.

I've been to the US twice, Paul has been here twice, I'm alive!! How much better than that can it get?!

Of course next year will hopefully be even better but this year put in the groundwork for that to happen.

I hope all of you can remember the positive and forget the bad stuff. Life can be heavy enough at times without carrying burdens we don't need so my wish for 2008 for all of you is that you enter it with a light heart and plenty of room in your soul for new experiences, friends and love. I hope by next December you are weighed down with a wealth of treasures beyond price which will make you all smile as much as you make me smile.

The love and friendship I've had from this site has carried me through the very worst of times and has enhanced the good times to being truly ecstatic. My life is a rich and happy place to be BECAUSE I have ch.com and OUCH US in it and I thank you all for giving me that privelege.

Thanks for all the encouragement you provide here.  I know that I appreciate it more than you know, as do so many others.

I appreciate your attitude concerning the last year and all you have been through.  I try to live up to the tagline I use from the book of Job, but don;t always manage.  The key to me is the word "try", which is old English for testing as is done in working with silver.  It is the fire and the hard times in life that are used to develope us to be the kind of people God has created us to be.
