Ok... some day in the far distant future when you are old and gray and barely able to lift a spoon let alone a toddler you may be a granny.  ;;D

It was too funny...Dad dropped him off after the test right?  He's not in the door for 30 seconds before he asks me if I'm planning to go anywhere today because he wanted the Aztec to drive to school.  We live 2 blocks away.  He can walk.   [smiley=laugh.gif]

You know Helen..you just flipped a brillient switch in my brain.  Now I can send HIM out to the store, and to the gas station.

Hmmmm what other things can I make him do just to let him behind that ever illustrious teenage freedom vehicle on wheels?

Enjoy it while it lasts.  In a month he'll find he's way too busy to do those errands.

Good job Dylan.

BTW: What color is the Aztek so I'll see him coming ;;D

Use him for errands all you can. It's known as a Mom Energy Saver -- grocery shopping, gas filler uppers, car washes, deliveries, 100's of things that YOU don't want to do..... it's great while it lasts..... TAKE ADVANTAGE.... it only happens ONCE....

So the boy child got home, and once again asked for the keys before he even set down his back-pack.

Well this time, I gave them to him.  He's taking his very first drive by himself.

I'm going to get my grocery list together, and when he gets back ...he's driving me to the store. ;;D

What a kid - ahem, I mean young man!

Now, I'll tell you the same thing I tell the hundreds of truck drivers I work with every day: "Keep your rig between the ditches and your thing in your britches."

Congratulations!
