Title: 5 am. pasta bake?
Post by jimmers on Dec 14th, 2007, 7:22am
I wake up at 5 am. today to a wonderful smell, Barb was making pasta bake for the office Christmas party.

I tried, but guess who isn't getting any to take for lunch?

I tried, but to no avail. Finally I said "Instead of pasta bake why don't you get  them girls a treadmill?"

In the dog house now, jimmers ;;D

You're lucky you aren't at the ER getting pasta bake removed from every orifice!!

Yeah....my outside voice gets my head smacked about once or twice a month. Usually the "common sense" check valve engages in time but every now and then......

But pasta bake is supposed to go in the mouth and out the other side. It's not near as enjoyable in reverse.

Barb just called from work and asked if I could pick up a bottle of wine for her on my way home from work today.

Before I could say anything she said "Yes, there will be left over pasta bake"

Gentlemen, I consider that a VICTORY!!!!!!!!!! ;;D

I hope she has two glasses of wine instead of one ;)

Don't go counting your chickens before they're hatched. You could still mess this up.

Cool - leftover pasta bake from the office Christmas party!

Hopefully left sitting at room temperature for 8+hours so Mr. Botulism has a head start on procreation . . . . .

Enjoy the "guests" at dinner . . . .  ;)

He's probably okay - pasta bake doesn't sound like something that would contain mayonaisse.

Jimmers, If you wife is anything like me, in the back of her head she was laughing at what you said.  But she could not tell you that. hehe.

Make sure you get her good wine and dont mess up and you'll be forgiven.

I know exactly which wine she drinks.

I think it's called Boones Farm or Ripple or something like that. LMAO

Actually its a sweet red Hungarian wine. I couldn't spell the name of it if I had to!

a friend of mine gave me a bottle of a very sweet white wine from Rumania but I never read the label so I pour two big glasses for me and my husband and damn the thing was heavy! taste very good but I was drunk before I finished the first glass  [smiley=laugh.gif] turns out the wine was a dessert wine, it is meant to be taken in a very small glass more like a cordial not a big glass  [smiley=laugh.gif]...watch out for that Jimmers or you can end up being a designated driver for a bunch of drunk ladies  ;;D

Good luck Thomas.  May the beast forget where you live.

Gewürztraminer is my favorite wine.  depending on the brand some are cheaper then others. but if you like something that has a good aroma, fruit, roses, autumn / winter spice dry wine. This is a great one.   Hell Wikipedia even says "Its aromatic flavours make Gewurztraminer one of the few wines that is suitable for drinking with Asian cuisine." and that is hard to do. hehe Really good with fresh fish / salmon.
