Title: In the british world of WTF?
Post by M.R. on Dec 11th, 2007, 11:45am
Yaa....this should help your customer base.... [smiley=pokeeye.gif]

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk_news/story/0,,2225434,00.html

Maybe this should come under, what the hell were they thinking?

Mike

Thomson's charge has risen to £213. He has been threatened with court action and received a letter from a debt collection company. He said that neither he nor any member of his family would eat at the chain again.

Do ya think?

Being charged for spending too long in a public loo?  [smiley=laugh.gif]

Eat your discoid lunch, and get the hell out, eh?

You know, I'm beginning to think that we need to start combating this nonsense with good, old-fashioned civil disobedience.  Order a Happy Meal every 45 minutes for three days, and set up camp.  Something like that.

Best,

George

George,

Sounds like a good idea, but after 3 days of that crap, your hair would probably fall out and you might start growing scales!!

Oh my goodness! Where has this world come to...?! I'm not quite sure if laughing or crying is more approriate response to that. Some people do eat a lot faster than others and some have disability, which makes them move a lot more slowly that the rest. Common sense, hello, where are you??? ::) ;;D

Well, near as I can tell, they don't say you actually have to eat it.  A person could stack it up in a tidy, slowly mouldering pyramid, say....

Best,

George

That would actually help them....I'm sure they would love it if you bought a happy meal that often. The article doesn't say anything about having to buy something to park there. I would get 2 sets of people. Park for 44 minutes, pull out, the next set comes in and parks for 44 minutes. Fill the parking lot. Over flow it. Get enough people and you can clog the whole thing.

Mike

£213= like a billon U.S. dollars now, thanks to the latest gov. wipe my ass bailout.

Oh ya, I forgot...I can not personally verify this story.

And oh double ya...this was by no means any kind of dis to the british people....we can be such nards of our own...we don't need help...lol

Zounds. http://www.netsync.net/users/charlies/gifs/burger.gif

If this were happening here, it would be 24/7 cable news. Such is the state of things here.

Makes you want to borrow some cars.

Tony,

You folks (Brits) have a whole bunch of stuff that I find would just make to much sense in the States.  There are some laws and rules in the US that would leave you scratching your head.

Putting a time limit on eating is about the same as putting a time limit on what comes out the other end [smiley=laugh.gif]  Both should not be done!
