My immediate family in yellow Sister's family in white Brother's family in black Other brother and his wife in black too (the two on far right.....just cause it's only the two of them I guess...and it balanced out the picture.... ;;D I wanted Mom in a completely different color....hence green.... :P |

We flew them up for Mom's birthday. Uncle Tommy is Mom's sole surviving sibling and they hadn't seen each other in 15 years.....It was a complete surprise for Mom.....do ya think they cried? Post by fubar on Dec 6th, 2007, 2:05am Before I say anything else... beautiful pictures, and beautiful family now I was not blessed with a family, so I am ignorant of these things when I got married to Jen, I married into a rather large family. When it was time for Jen's mom's 75th birthday, they decided to get a photographer to get pictures while a good portion of the kids, grandkids, great-grand kids, and immediate families were there. I thought they were totally crazy when I heard about the 'dress color code'. They actually had a family meeting to discuss the color code. Let me just say it was not a simple thing, and I was just gobsmacked. So, I'm glad to see this insanity isn't only in this family. :) I would never have even thought these things go on. -Shawn |

If my family would tried the same, things would just get messy - mom has far too many siblings! It's great that those kind of family pictures are taken; mom's side of the family never took any and now few of them are in fights with everybody, so its too late. Dad has zillion cousins, which makes family portraits difficult as well, but still, that side has family gathering every 3 years and everyone who attends will be pictured and the pic will be shared at the family newspaper, which comes out twice a year.
