It's my "little" friend Ting Tong's birthday today!

Yes - he WAS born, he didn't come free with two gallons of petrol like you lot thought! ;) (He doens't smell as good as the petrol either)

This is a big year for him, its his last year of being in the 50's cos next year is the REAL biggie!!

Happy birthday my little fruitbat :-* I hope you have a lovely day 'cos you deserve it and I'll buy you a glass of prune juice next week to help with that little problem I'm keeping quiet for you. See - I told you I wouldn't say anything didn't I?!

Here's a bird video I like--it shows an American Dipper, or Water Ouzel doing what Ouzels do.....diving, swimming, and walking around on the bottom of a streambed. I see them all the time here when I'm fly fishing--they like to hang around downstream from people, because our big clumsy feet kick up aquatic insects.

Thank you all for the well wishes - especially patti – did we meet at that over-thirties disco on Friday night? That certainly was the best ever :-*

Hey George – is that a black-bellied dipper? So cool 8) How come you know me so well? BTW, love the redstart. Flora (my middle one) bought me a framed mosaic of two cranes – so sweet. Limey-bird got me two quarts of prune juice – not so sweet – but what does one expect from an aquatic insect? :P

Great birthday so far – two each-way bets at 40/1; three bottles of Pouilly-fumé; and PF to boot. Off out now with Mel and Sandie – I'll let you know how I get on ;)
