Last night I took some pictures of Jyväskylä's city centre's seasonal additions.

The City Church:

The place where Timo & I met back in December 2005 and now we live closeby. It's lid every night during the dark evenings and it looks particularly spectacular this time of year when snow surrounds it.

City Chruch's Christmas Tree

It's lights are bright and they glitter nicely in the dark evenings. This is the first year there's a Christmas tree near the City Church.

Lots of Finns like to build snowmen each year and people in here are no different, but this time the snowman was build to a bench near the City Church.

Kinder The Christmas Squirrel

I told you this summer about a squirrel, who stole Kinder chocolate eggs from a local supermarket. This Christmas one department store decided to honor this rodent and made it a character in its children's window. It actually looks so cute and it moves.

Nani, Kinder the squirrel is my fave as well. Timo and I went to see it today as well when we returned from our store trip. :)

That church is a beautiful picture, Sanna.

I've never seen a more thinner, taller tree than that. That's unique.

Some guy froze sleeping on the park bench!

Very nicely colored display, like a painting from my screen.

Linda, "Jyväskylä" is spelled just like its written. I know that Äs are pretty hard for anyone whose language doesn't have them. :)

Kevin, we have lots of forests all around Finland, so plenty of Christmas trees to choose from! One of my fave Christmas memories includes a tree picking trip with my dad - we went to the forest he owned and picked our favourites. He got us one huge tree to the living room and one smaller one to my room. :)
I'm a great at choosing Christmas trees; it come from dad's side. ;) If it would be up to mom, we'd have one-sided plastic tree... :P
