We have 70 pages of games going on this one board.....on this one page.

Thats one hell of a task for a webmaster to archive, along with all the other threads on this same page.

Can we all just play the games that are up until they burn out?

Like I said, im trying to rain on shit, but 70 fuckin pages in three threads?  :o

Its just a thought, do what you will.

Thank you.  :-*

I would suggest that we let DJ delete those game threads once we have finished playing. Its not like they need to be saved for future reference or anything. That would save a lot of bandwith and he wont have to worry about archiving.

Apparently the more posts there are on the forum, the slower it gets to load.

Nice thought for the webmaster but it really does not work that way at all.  The number of pages or posts or threads does not make it any more or less difficult or time-consuming to archive stuff or maintain the site.   And as far as bandwidth goes, one picture (from this site, not an enternal site) really is worth a thousand posts.  Text is cheap and small and takes very little bandwidth.  I looked at the images he used above and everything is very much optimized; small images, low color depth; so he was smart about how he did things.   I am guessing the most work to maintain this site probably involves cleaning up after trolls and ugly threads, and occasional security problems that crop up for web sites in general.

Maybe I am missing something since I'm not a webmaster myself but there should be no worries on that particular front.

Still takes work and cost's money to run a website though, regardless.
